                                    *

As snowflakes fall from tangled tree branches,
They dance and whirl about me,
            I stop and stand still,
               Dazzled in a celestial light,
It is glorious and I am lost in a past dream,
Of walking in a summer breeze,
                 Gathering flowers,
                     Of sunlight caressing me,
Now in snow and an icy city street my dream fades,
                 With each falling snowflake,
As beautiful as any summer flower in my garden.

Very pretty and seasonal poetry, Constance. Is it for Diamonds in the snow? The sun on snow is so dazzling.

You can tug at a persons heartstrings I'll tell you that! lol BW this is still beautiful; the heart is not always happy, and for some of us it is rarely happy...but such is our life. We handle it ;) I love the class with which you handle yours....had to read it again ;)

Oh the beauty of tragedy. I actually came to your page because of promises of trying a Villanelle. I guess it doesn't mean you didn't try it, but don't see any, however I'm not disappointed because this is a wonderful write. Great work.
