Blue Winter Death

within
the womb
of silent death
where Summer tree's
sway
no more
we search each cloud
in muted
promise
in hope
a dream shall climb above
where silent hearts
as blue as death
crawl beneath
a vale
no more
I scream of Summer
a hymn of love
before the chill
of night
consume....

within the womb
of silent death
where Summer tree's
sing no more

Very potent contrasts. A lead-me-on write taking me where I don't want to go (cold) but can't let go. Appropriate to the season of "coldrums" and summer will rise again. Enjoyed, John
