Torn

The wall was blank, a ghastly white
I didn't own it ~let the mountains rise,

~let the mountain come to Mohammed.

An entertaining hovel, my abode
inhabited by ants, roaches and I.

I tore the daily news to shreds
and the mountain rose upon the blankness
a ghastly white now overlapped with grays.

My Everest, my Himalaya's rise
calling me to cleaner brighter heights and space.

Mindful now, upon an image born wall
my wishes form in random revelry.
Places that oft, I longed to go.

~ images of skies, I thought to see
Yes, I like He of old, I will come to thee.

This is very deep Deborah. It reminds me of a book i once read in my twenties called 'Give me this mountain'when i was passing through slip disc pain. You will always rise upon the greyish skies..and you will stand on the mountain. If the prophet wouldn t come to you..You will definitely go to him. This poem lifted my spirit high dear..Wishing you the rainbows .

I always find in your poetry, someone who has endured the climb........has overcome many obstacles......is still on a path, but seeing the horizon...which glimmers on that ghastly white wall, with pale color. Someday, I hope the colors are bright, and beautiful !!
