the ultimate sonnet

Does she even know her place
With grace of beauty on her face
Can she phantom the depths of love
That pulls the high from up above

Granted the beauty of an angels face
The divinely blessed unhuman race
Wingless creature brought so near
The shyness of the bravest fear

No stars can compare to the eyes
No words come forth from the wise
No diamond cut match her shape
Or scenic views from eyes take

What heavenly chore was this
unangel sent
What blood so precious by earth was
lent
Did stars converge to create this
thing
Will wars be fought to make her
queen

To which most blessed will she give
heart
To the bravest the strongest or the
smart
Contest and riddles those olden
themes
Where music and poetry should
adorn this queen

Your poem has an ethereal quality to it, the fact that you raise your eyes to heaven to find the simile to her beauty, tells me you're of celestial thought when you write, only angels and good poets do that, which one are you, dear John? xxx

Fine portrait of a godess - like being! When you wrote "Metropolis" under my poem were you refering to the classic Fritz Lang movie of that name? Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish

You laid the golden egg and I'm astounded at the change. I've been away too long and miss you; your style and feelings in a poem always speak their magic to me! I'm dealing with sadness which doesn't go well with poetry. The problem has affected me and till it is able to be solved I live in limbo. So sweet of you to think of me; don't you get my emails?
