The Seekers Song

Parched thoughts mirage in hope
Destinations reworked
Barefoot on illicit emotions
Pacing nights, stalking rainbows

The ink haunts every written word
Molten anguish in whirlpools
Looking for wisdom’s silver mane
Deserted by the jade green eyes of duty

The drumbeats of intuitive sunsets
Fades religions from the angels’ wings
The word limps on in chains and shackles
Leather-bound, gold-printed on captive minds…

The silver swan was an idea I've had for a while now so when I finally got the time I rattled that one off in an hour or so. I just go with it sometimes and release the inner poet within this old exterior. I wonder sometimes where these words flow from, when I'm done I sometimes amaze myself, like where did that line come from. I'm on vacation for two whole days, I am not going back until Monday Bindu what am I going to do with myself, lets see clean my basement or play hooky what do you think.

A wonderful poem, filled with wisdom. I loved those last two lines. Wisdom is something that each of us possesses, but we find it in self reliance, never in books or the words of others, Your poems are always beautiful bindu...peter
