Mosquitoes' Silhouette

Red and Cobalt Blue paint the east
Mosquitoes' silhouettes
Come into view, out seeking blood
One bite Russian Roulette

Early morn draws, come and sit here
In the hammock gently swing
Enjoy some time out on the porch
Happiness the cool brings

The sun is up a little higher
Fog comes into clear view
Roosters' voices are joined by more
A symphony now too

The Mockingbird now chatter calls
Roosters' echo in the vale
Crickets increase their harmony
A car's motor travails

Fill, Oh! Holy Spirit ~give strength
To accomplish tasks of day
Saturate me with thou presence
Come abide, fill , stay

Very calming verse here Sara, I enjoyed reading it this morning. You have a way of delicately putting imagery to make the flow nice. Take care, Lucinda

This is another beautiful day sitting out on your porch I can tell my friend! I love these sounds as well, especially the crickets in the wee hours of the morning...some people call them annoying but there is a certain music about them! And those mosquitoes, they don't like me so they don't bite me, I'm lucky about that! So are you in the Autumn spirit yet? I am, but even more so in the Halloween spirit but I know you don't care for that much! This is a fantastic poem Sara, I really enjoyed it!!

This is a lovely piece, Sara. The only thing I would change is "Fog comes clearly into view". I think it would flow a little better that way, but nice piece, nonetheless :)
