Rain A Fall and dutty tough
But that didn't cause my mother or father to be a cruff
Instead it make dem realize that things not easy
They had three children to support
so they put dem head together
and open a stall and called it "Rain A Fall"
Yes, "Rain A fall"...
Rain A Fall and Dutty tough
Through all de struggles, my father and mother didn't once think to be a cruff
When the times got harder, my father decide
that him couldn't bear to see my mother coming home so late to feed wi
so him tell her to quit working, stop selling clothes on the roadside cause it nuh easy.
Yes, Rain a Fall and Dutty tough.
Wi go through many struggles but never once have we considered being cruffs
Mi mother quit her little "hustling" and tun her full attention to raising wi.
Mi father hold on to him little job at the factory
and after many years of stuggles, dem proudly welcome dem pickneys-
Teacher, Accountant, Supervisor
Yes, Rain A Fall and Dutty tough
But that is no excuse to be a cruff!
