Surrender

Dear child, what good is it doing you to hold onto this depression?
God is begging you for YOUR confession.
Not for him, but for you.
Your anxiety takes you from the truth.
Holding onto this does nothing for yourself.
You're causing YOUR OWN internal hell.
Nothing is holding you back,
now cut the act.
God's tired of your excuses,
and trust me he KNOWS what abuse is.
He knows everything you do,
He knows things you don't know about you.
Stop continually resisting, stop insisting,
You are called to be more than what you're putting in your head.
You are called to be more than dead.
You are called to lead, you're not called to bleed.
This depression you say is "just a part of you"?!??
It's what is doing the killing, too.
You hate yourself? Fine. Give it to God, tell him about it.
You DO have beauty and He won't let you doubt it.
Surrender your hate, give up this freaking debate.
He'll get you out of this confused state.
He wants to help you, contrary to your belief,
Surrender to him you'll have your relief.
Surrender your life, all this pain and strife.
Your calling is His, not yours or mine.
Your worry won't matter at the end of time.
Your calling can't be reached if surrender we can't teach.
You have to let go of this, stop waiting for a magical kiss,
to set you free.
Hope isn't lost, you'll see.
God will provide what you need.
Stop holding back,
God sees through your stupid mask.
So surrender what you're holding,
God's grace is unfolding.
He loves you through what you've done,
Now stop rejecting His love.
