Disavow

A red sun peeks through spaces in trees.
Pastel lavender cast
'Pon the eastern horizon fair.
Beauty with questions unasked

Where has life taken our country
What future is there now
Only when our nation turns back
Or God will disavow

The sun changes to clear yellow
Bright its radiant light
It will warm the earth as always
Give life, take away night

A wonderful poem Sara, I loved it. I don't think there is much hope for this planet, unless people change drastically. It seems to me the whole world is filled with endless corruption. thanks for the read....Peter

Good time of the World is coming, I feel because whatever is happening, these are happening to bring good of the future. This beautiful World is not left by God to inhumanity and to cause all time's problem. Just He is watching and at the proper time He will do his own action. Your a great Country, feel it will always survive. Very nice poem. Loved always, bl

I especially loved the second stanza, which is so very true in our world today, I believe we has started showing signs of destruction through the weather and political strife, as well as monetary problems! I really loved reading this incredible poem this morning! What a grand piece, Great Work!!
