Yggdrasil

Odin explained it to Thor like this:
Asgard, Earth, and the nine realms of the cosmos
Are connected by the branches of Yggdrasil;
The tree of the world

All of us even astronomers see it every day
Without realizing it at all
Sometimes glancing at it through our telescopes
Or even through the Hubble Space Telescope

Experts say it is all old legends
Left here by the Vikings and their myths
But to me in a way it all makes sense
Now I do not believe in Odin or any of Asgard’s gods

I am not a savage bloodthirsty Viking
But what I am is a believer in science
A science that we do not know of yet
A science that is waiting to be discovered

And when that science is found
What will ultimately happen?
Will it be used for the greater good?
Or will it just be forgotten like the Norse myths and legends?

Nice philosophical expression in the form of poetry. Is there a science that is waiting to be discovered...or are scientist still building on relics of past scientist?
