Major shattered dream

I'm sure I've told this in class
But at this point you've let it pass
My major's Writing
But this is not my dream choice

For poverty strikes me
I cannot afford Graduate School
my dream is fractured
My life cruel

Creative Writing
That was the major of my dream
My dearest hope,my life’s cream

I once had another dream
I have decided on a whim
Like you I wanted

My desire was to teach
Thorugh teaching English morals preach
In my wishes
But then, but then, but then
A letter of rejection came
Saying “ You don’t qualify”
The folowing night in sleep
A truck ran o’er me

Life shatters wishes
And shaves ridges
Formed through the rigid stubborn plans

Career for decades
My plan was as follows
First receive a bachelor’s degree
And enter corporate world and teach
Whist saving money
I would then enter graudate school
Allowing for my goal to fuel
And study
School Library Science

This is the part, this is the part
That troubles most my thorbbing heart
And rips my hopes
