A Plea

Please make me real! My eyes can see
but cannot cry. I wish to be
of flesh and blood; to be immersed
in life - for better or for worse!
I need to live my fantasy!

I’m wood and string, and misery
consumes the soul inside of me.
If my sad state can be reversed,
please make me real!

I want to do things naturally -
to run on legs of bone, carefree -
so full of joy that I might burst.
Though loved, I am a child accursed.
I ask you with all fervency. . .
Please make me real!

The interesting part is that this could be us. Sometimes, after trauma, we lose the ability to feel. Been there.

A soul cries out to be alive even when flesh and bone. A childs eyes will pierce your heart when they are all alone. Deep in us all exist's the need to breath a breath of air. And have someone to call our own and knowing that they care. :)
