Through my window

Through my window

I looked out of my window
And the sight just spun me out
The day was filled with so much beauty
It was everywhere about
The garden it was all lit up
As the sun light bathed the trees
Such sweet power to my eyes
As leaves danced on the breeze

And me, I’m sitting having tea
My mind all calm and ease
The bliss of sweet tranquillity
All worries do appease
The only thing I want to do
Is to lose myself in this
It’s just a fleeting taste of life
Yet gives me so much bliss.

I turn a way, for one heartbeat
And the image it has gone
‘Oh please don’t let it be this way
Let it go on, and on!’
I beg, but this can never be
It’s never how it is
One can only take what comes
When it comes to tasting bliss.

Love this poem Peter, so true sometimes beauty doesn't last but only within a moment. Hugs and love, Gail
