    It's new to me too. I subscribed to the journal "Modern Haiku" where the one-line haiku is quite common. It maintains the 17 syllable count, but seems to allow relationships between words that wouldn't exist otherwise. Also look at http://issuu.com/roadrunner_ku/docs/r_r_13.1?e=4797175/2097435
