To Beach or Not to Beach

To beach or not to beach
is that the question
where seagulls screech and whistle
as you try to hide your french fries
sand castles children have left behind
where waves fill in tiny footprints
see the most wondrous things
perhaps a mermaid on the rocks
lovers sitting close
oily bodies glistening with sensations
girls showing off bronzed skin
a happy place
where the stress of life is forgiven
no need to be blue at the beach
have some fun in the red hot sun
where never ceasing waves play across the shore
as silver white sand spills from my hands

there is no easy in the world
but the power of the beach shows you laughing
and playing in the blue water
where the breeze is best
the sun most powerful
renew your inner being as birds glide in the wind
along with the music of the waves
that has existed since the beginning of time

when you leave the beach
take with you the peace you found here

Betty you've described the feelings and sights of a beach day. I sure do miss the sand and the sea. It's a Zen-like feeling for me. Warm Smiles, Connie
