Meanest Snake Alive

I was fishing this weekend
And a cotton-mouth got after me
My revolver ... slung low on my hip
Was out before the snake could reconsider
And I blew his fangs out the back of his head
Moral of this story?
Don't mess with a country boy when he's trying to fish

*Just a bit of fun...and sorry to any snake fans out there...I must admit, I'm a venomous snake killer from way's in my blood.

Loving this one again. Caleb, that fish sounded disgusting. Even the good ones are bad enough to have to eat. hahaha

Hey! I was just on my way over here to comment on one of your old poems and order you to write more! And what should I find but FIVE new poems? It's like Christmas! hehe. Seriously though, this is such a Caleb-esque piece - and I particularly love it because snakes freak the heck out of me!!
