I cry, needing grace that comes from you.
My heart, warped and dead, does not beat true.
Each sin spoken out as I confess,
and judged - forgiven, is how you bless
If I would just try to save myself
My fate: I would fail to gain your wealth
Instead I must trust in what you spoke
That you will remake what I left broke
Each step that I force on my own path
is wrong and a leap toward your fierce wrath
but Love, you did give, to search in zeal
and die, to spare me, by Love's appeal
Regret fills my soul for how I've wronged
for he, left his place, where he belonged
to buy and redeem each worthless child
as if I were gold marked pure then piled
So please, on right roads, have me embark
And have me not fear the way so dark
your rod and your staff they comfort me
and I, in your home, will always be
