The wind was soft and warm
meandering through the forest's members
to gently wish good day to all
whose leaves waved its passage through.
Then, almost like a lover's sigh,
swept into the night,
waiting to freshen at sunrise.
But when cold winds crept down valley walls
and pushed against the placid scene
a tempest rose with angry slash
to fight the uninvited gale,
until away the cold winds fled
before the hot impassioned foe.
The valley floor was calm once more
and as fog hung in the morning light,
a soft breeze came and gently pushed it through the trees.
