I thought it odd no shops open this Monday morning,
there was a coffee machine at the corner where she
lived but I had no coins, had wanted to walk past her
house while preoccupied with drinking coffee, should
she look out and open the window and ask what I was
doing here in her street I would tell her I was looking
for a garage to repair my car. I walked past her house
anyway, windows shuttered, what a lazy woman
sleeping the morning away. Now I was hungry wanted
a bacon butty and a strong cup of tea, but the local
café was also shut… an elderly man with his dog walked
by told me the café didn´t open on Sundays, which
I thought remarkable I had beaten time with 24 hours.
But in order to adjust my time with reality I walked
home and went back to bed.
