Aww, I know sometimes it is hard to watch them throw away everything they've worked for, and join. Prayers that God keeps him safe. Congrats on your win!

This is excellent and a wise perspective. Only the person who makes this decision can truly understand the reasons.

The answer lies solely in that person's heart. What makes someone stand up to do their own part. A consience of living is weight we all bear. When times get real tough, thank God they are there.

I indentify with oldest grandson (l9) bound, changed his plans to join the Navy. It was so hard to "let" him go.....but it has proven to be such a growing experience. May God keep your nephew safe! :)

He is very brave. My son did it too, joined the Marines right out of high school. He regrets it now a little bit because he got started late in his career outside military life. But hopefully it made even a better man of him!!

Really emotive poem. I guess this goes on a lot in the USA. The only country that has the 'guts' to stand up for what is right and protect the world from another dictator.
