Memories Beyond The Door
Once a door from a soul is opened it will unleash scars back into the heart
Releasing a painful view through a window of tears that once drowned its internal spark
The eyes remain tensely locked to what awaits in memories beyond the door
Will the soul fight to remain whole this time through a broken mirror existing to cut once more?
Flowers from loved ones once given to show how love ought to be
Have long since wilted into dust that covers the pain of every memory
Until a soft breeze begins to flow upon them through a nearby window
Lifting its aging veil that will unlock the memories you tried to bury so
Even though so many years have passed since the days of grief
A beating heart still goes on trying to live without having to bleed
A soul forever tormented by haunting memories beyond the door
Those remain waiting to have the chance again to take off the veil once more.
