    I reread and realize you are talking about your writing, I was thinking it was your baby daughter. It reads well both ways.

    Actually I was kind of referring to both. The first three lines being the work I put onto paper... the last two lines being "my greatest work", which would be a child... sort of a play on words, I guess.

    57577. Check out the Tanka form, the preceding should be the sylable count. I do love the content, you have captured your potential future well.

    Perhaps this is my lazy excuse, but here it is. The reason I don't conform to the syllable count is because when you translate the Japanese (who are the inventors of it) poems into English, they usually end up being a lot shorter. Cause English words are typically shorter than Japanese. And I find they read well either way (as long as it's an approximate).
