What I Am

As I was growing up
I always did the same
My life was always boring
But I'm the one to blame

I was always comfy
With the things I new
I was always scared to try
Exciting things to do

So now that I am older
I wonder if I should
Change my life a little
It could be for my good

Should I try to learn
Now that I am old
It's always good to try things
This is what we're told

Or is it just too late
I'm use to things I know
Can you really teach old dogs
New tricks? They tell me so

I may be just too lazy
You may not like my tone
I know I make excuses
But, I'm in my comfort zone

I know I'll stay the same
Subborn, as you can see
But through this I think I've told you
That what I am, is me
