Met The Master

Gray skies brewing storms
Warm humid air surronds
Air that clings sticky
One of those drear days lies ahead

Waiting is part of the day
Doctor's office _wait
Write a little while I wait
Friday_what a way to start week end

Lunch _Italian restuarant
Spaghetti with meat sauce
TV playing news clips
Boston Marathon main topic with latest updates

Two people gone wrong
Hundreds of lives touched
If only those two men had met The Master
Before that fateful day_

Yea, if only they had met the master, perhaps they may not carry out such cruel act.

Love the title, it's so catching, wonderful take on the disaster in Boston.

Sara; Your poem combines a lot of things, happening all in one day. I hate to go to the doctor, but I know that sometimes, we have to. I hope you are doing good now. here in my neighbor hood where I live - we had a family that came from West,Texas. They totally lost their home and are now staying with family here. Soup mail.... Valid observation Sara..A person mentioned it To me the other day; I thought and said to him Its an export import thing; much better to be active in the Love that Jesus advised the world needs." (hate greed envy bitterness) all these things will end for those who practice them nothing belongs to anyone forever but Love the true Love Christ offers lasts past worldly ends..! Take care God bless Joe..)

Sara, very well scripted. Showing the normal everyday activities that we all enjoy when sometimes interrupted by evil beings. The last verse delivers a powerful punch that made me ponder that question also. Where did these two go wrong?

I completely agree with you with this entire poem my friend! I know thoughts like this, it comes to my mind as well Sara! Why did this have to happen, what good comes from killing innocent people? I don't understand this, but my thoughts still plague my mind about this! You're write is a perfect representative of my thoughts today, similar to yours, though I had Wendy's flatbread sandwich instead of spaghetti with mean sauce! This is a tremendous piece my friend, Great Work!!

Very powerful, Sara. Yes, if only. I've just posted a poem on His Healing Touch. We are all in need of the Master's touch. Sara, bless you for reminding us of this. He smiles down on you! :)
