In Your Arms Again
I believe deep within my heart
Our love has not exhausted its end
Somewhere on a cold winter’s night you’ll find that spark
To bring me back in your arms again
I stare out the window and all I could see
Times and days we spent inside lover’s passion under the sunshine
And your reflection from the past looking back at me
From the diamonds that sparkled in my eyes knowing you were mine
Shadows begin to form outside now that sun is going down
I wonder if the flame that used to keep us warm has grown cold
Turned into old embers of ash helplessly lying on the ground
Will I ever get another chance to have you to hold?
The stars above a canopy skyline shine of silver tints
Illuminating their magical flames of their existence
Causing a saddened tear down my face while I reminisce
Our flame that used to burn without any resistance
I close my eyes in front of the window and pretend
That perhaps this has all been a bad dream and I’ll wake
Though when I open my eyes I don’t see myself in your arms again
I only see the ashes blowing in the wind towards a different place..
Just a made up poem, not personal.
