JULIA'S DELUSION

Julia sought scarlet roses of Fall
that wildly grew by a pristine shore,
she picked one, then took them all;
why thousands of them, or even more...
after having been wounded by the horrible lies
of that lover with green, deceiving eyes?

O deluded Julia, why do you sleep
on roses petals instead of sleeping in a comfortable bed?
Do they remind you of his tempting red lips?
Didn't he take all the joy from you and made you weep?
O heartbroken Julia, his memory can made you very sad:
he only gave you delusive love through brief happiness!

Julia, don't return to that beautiful and scented garden
where you watered roses with an obsessive thoughtfulness;
why fill up your yellow straw basket with more rose petals?
Pose for a single minute to let go of illusion...
admire spring's splendor by not listening to his alluring voice!
Thorns will poke your delicate hands....
they'll bleed increasing your delusion
to ever feel wanted or be loved again!
