My vain and amorous obsession,
in desert burning fresh canteen
males' fantasy and night's digression,
- my strongest coffee's roasted bean.
Admired was your exquisite posture,
and emptiness of soul's sorrow,
for your inaccessible stature,
- expending charm, I did borrow.
Inside your glass, apathy's shadow,
abates my hopes, while rain suspends
my foolish stance of wooden scarecrow,
- that through charades the field attends.
How much I loved that lonely feeling,
when stood out there, cold and abject,
while speechless shadows crossed sky's ceiling,
- the downpour soaked, warmth to reject.
Vain uppish stance, closely adjacent,
within arm's reach kind of abstruse,
refrained from secular indulgence,
my head acquired a tilt obtuse.
Jazz music played - maybe it was planned
I thoughtless leaned upon some booth,
For evermore I loved your raised hand,
- and altruistic smiling tooth...
