Fragile Rock Formation

Your body of work
Crushes you beneath the weight
Of the book still in your head
Unrelenting unbounded
Infinite possibilities
You start to count the stars
Until you find your own
Who will cover for you?
Before the pointing is over
The colours hurt your eyes
I am your filter in this life
As you design your tomb
I build your throne
You sensed the movement
The flame calling
The moth fleeing
I chased you to Rome and found you
Conversing with statues
As some birds stopped to ponder
I was your dream that day
And for the next weeks
Drawing on the sources of comment
And soulful splendour the glory
Awestruck and dumbfounded
Critics at the wailing wall
I shook it off the slivers of possibility
I tossed those words into the air
You watched them linger then crash
Fragile rock formation

beautiful poem, well written. In such a windy and snowy day, reading this piece just completes my relaxation. What a poem!
