If this is war,
then I must be a god of war.
In every fight,
(and there are always some)
I might quit the bother
as the sweat dries on my forehead
looking clean, dust myself off,
or I overcome.
In the clear,
The pain of the in between
our good and our evil, both
a hard and easy illusion.
A hard distinction to see close up,
but always an easy collision.
We've wrecked ourselves
with our distinctions...
That's how nothing
can be the powerful one.
That's how we lose.
But still, they make me laugh
these wild and beautiful things.
They'll always have their seasons..
No matter how we feel,
no matter what we think.
Through the Summers and Winters, both
an angel and a devil for each shoulder,
I swear they say so for a reason.
Isn't it obvious?
Isn't it simple?
If we love the thrill of battle,
then nothing can stop the winning.
