with starry-eyed grasp
a pen desiring its flow
romantic musings
the essence of wishing words
showing love’s endearing glow

That's a true poem in its essence and a real tanka in view of the feelings it evokes! I adore tankas and haikus. I have posted some, too

tanka does not usually have titles so I'm told, but since Poetry soup requires one, it's the best I could come up with.

I have tried the Tanka form once before and I had such a hard time with it! This one is great, inspires me to try the form again :) well done, dear. Love it!
