Moon Is My Muse
Moon Is My Muse
The moon, who’s intentions I believe
Are not beyond her muses to deceive
Casting down her beams so they reflect
The postures and the features to perfect
For lovers meeting secret sets the scene
Colours dim and svelte will be her sheen
With shadows for effect she does create
So each believe they see their one true mate
The atmosphere she shrouds in mystery
Adding strings of unheard symphony
Sets the mood with melancholy strains
Removes all senses common from their brains
And yet I find myself, I’m not immune
With ease she has me dancing to her tune
For,’ Moon is my muse’, Contest
Poem written, 2 March 13
