About This Poem
COURTING THE MOON
COURTING THE MOON
Once
Upon a time,
The blazing sun
Courted
The full-faced
Moon,
Caressing her pale
Face
With his ravenous
Beams,
Next he flashed,
Hastinly she blushed,
But then she
Gave in
Embraced thus
Remained
All night long and
SOON
The sky was filled
With
Billions flickering
Children
That
All mother had
The shy, pale MOON!
