COURTING THE MOON

COURTING THE MOON

Once
Upon a time,
The blazing sun
Courted
The full-faced
Moon,
Caressing her pale
Face
With his ravenous
Beams,
Next he flashed,
Hastinly she blushed,
But then she
Gave in

Embraced thus
Remained
All night long and
SOON
The sky was filled
With
Billions flickering
Children
That
All mother had
The shy, pale MOON!

WOW! I love this. I once wrote a poem about the moon and the sun. There is a Spanish song that says. With music the moon stays awake and The sun is late coming out. Thanks for sharing. Lucilla

This is a fabulous write, one that I believe to be one of your best ones my friend! I think it's just the subject that gets my attention the most, I love the moon, and the stars aren't far behind in all their glory! I love the concept of the stars as children of the sun and the moon, very ingenious Demetrios! What a fantastic poem, Great Work!!
