A Breath Of Spring
He brushes his lips soft against my skin
Raising my eyes to him a tilt of my chin
I drink from his cup
As together we sup
I breathe of his love and lose myself in him
Nectar vivid colors on a fragrance sweet
Together we sow wildest grain of wheat
I eat on his plate
Until I’m sedate
Between the arms of desire I admit defeat
Breath of spring sitting on a painted porch
For his eyes only, I carry this illusive torch
One touch of his face
And I meet grace
A thousand yesterdays in an empty church
Still I recall the shades of our loving past
As I shiver in winter’s morn I take repast
Of a love so complete
That soul takes seat
Love's pliancy breathes springtime at last.
