About This Poem
Dream World
When silent darkness captured me, so unaware.
Forgetting of falling into, sleepers stare.
That's when you came to me, to set me free.
That's when I did find, the power to see.
Kind words were spoken, within this sleep state.
Completely acknowledged, for my insightful fate.
Seemed real as life, this cognitive dream.
For touching flesh, of another's did seem.
The words you spoke, of love and comfort.
Were words straight from, a heavenly consort.
For years I've wondered, if it was even real.
For my sleeping moments, you did surely steal.
My life has ever since, been completely changed.
Outlook of life, all re-arranged.
So now when darkness, comes to me.
I sleep and wait, for its you, I wish to see.
