Battling Addiction
needed for my soul's salvation
'tis a blessing, this affliction
a craving, not aberration
state of the heart, a conviction.
putting down my thoughts on paper
needed for my soul's salvation
my mind's helper, heart's peacekeeper
my gateway to relaxation.
helping fight mindless temptation
writing has become a blessing
needed for my soul's salvation
a wound now given a dressing.
expressing soul's agitation
poetic thoughts, sans restriction
this addiction, my vocation
needed for my soul's salvation.
