UNDERWATER CONTOURS

“UNDERWATER CONTOURS”

Curves and contours testify
The mirror never tells a lie
Bathroom scale the confirmation
Body toning contemplation

Sub-aqua training fitness enhances
Submerged serenity with sparkling nuances
Gliding fulfilment and dissociation
Flooding the senses-- underwater salvation

Upward blue curves denting the side
Stark white lines indicate and divide
Soft, silky, satin water caressing the skin
Breathing awareness deep from within

A swimmers experience provides compromise
Muscles respond as minds liberalise
Curves and contours deep below and submerged
Underwater encounters float boundless, resurged

Hi Kim, I have always Loved the water. Swimming on top Is alright but I always enjoyed swimming underwater. I always felt a calm within when I went under. Another excellent piece from your pen KIM. Your piece flows through the cool clear water onto the page. Each part of the whole vision Is seamlessly put together. You describe your underwater scene perfectly. All I need Is my trunks and I'd be under that water. It Is so real. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend always....MIKE.

Thank you Jake. I value comments from a talented poet as yourself. This particular poem is inspired by my swimming training five times a week-- I love the serenity of being far away from "the maddening crowd"
