Imagine here no heaven and no angels in the sky
Every person living peace living for today anew
Imagine here no country, nor reason why we die
I hope some day you can imagine something new
Imagine here a dreamer, a chance to live in peace
I hope some day you’ll join me in what I do believe
Imagine here a fighter, with weaponry release
I hope some day each soldier can take a blessed leave
Imagine no belongings, as we’re all slowly letting go
No need for greed or hunger as we all eat as one
Imagine not a stranger, but a brother, sister, friend
I hope some day you can imagine the shining sun
Imagine here no heaven and no angels in the sky
Every person living peace just as angels used to do
Imagine here a chance to heal a child’s old wounded cry
I hope some day you can imagine, something new
