Project of a Hasty Poem
~This poem was written in Arabic by Abderrahim Sail and it's translated into English by M'hamed Kanour~
“Love, I don’t desire to speak about you!”
Once upon a time
I had strange rituals
Like visiting an unknown ailing
Like getting liquored and intending the police station
With my own, to spend the night there
My coat was a box of books
And my practical workshop was: Fiction
I was doing that
Decreed by poetry
I walked barefoot under rain
Bringing out my tongue
My depression drunk by
The pure wine of the sky
I corrected many trees by my hands
Because Autumn is my brother
I asked him to be kind to the almond tree that I love
That I was intoxicated underneath
Pained because of the absence of love
When the almond tree blooms
Snow falls down from my eye
I remember the one who put her heart in my algae
Then I live tormented
She quietly dies in the arms of another man
Oh dear love!
Stay there in the past
Silent and embalmed like mummy
Leave me alone
I don’t willing talking about you
I will watch your wonderful corpses.
