About This Poem

The Experience

Our experiences shape us,
they make us who we are.
Without them what would we
discuss,
we would have an inane
memoir.
If someone has done you
wrong,
they've only made you wiser.
Your foundation made oh so
strong,
you learn to be an improviser.
Now if you found true love
along the way,
surely it was worth the
endeavor.
Even if you were led astray,
now you are much more clever.
So regardless if they're good or
bad,
embrace them both, happy and
sad.
