About This Poem
Last Day
No more tomorrow morning sunrise.
Last day to see, from these eyes.
If you were aware it was today.
Do you ever wonder what, you might say.
Who and where would you want to see.
Is there a place, you would want to be.
What would mean the most to you.
Something that would help, to carry you through.
Some old friends you would want to touch.
A family member, that you never saw much.
Perhaps it would all, just be alright.
To slip away, from everyone's sight.
But if you feel that you need, a little more time.
That this last day seems, a personal crime.
Just make sure that the ones you hold dear.
Know that in thought, they were always near.
For not one of us ever surely knows.
For whom the last day, the whistle blows.
So my friends, make sure you take the time to share.
With the ones who you want, to know you care.
