About This Poem
Gettin' Old
Ya know this gettin' older can make ya say yuck
Sometimes having a good day depends on luck
And getting up on the wrong side of the bed
Becomes more than just an old saying said
More times than not it depends on which arm
I can push myself up on, doing the least harm
Finally getting my legs straightened out
Then making it to the toilet in time, I begin to doubt
This healthy food they say is good for me
I swear only makes me more hungry
Well, I'll try and grow old gracefully
Cause I'll have lots of love from friends and family
