I've found the key to Heaven at last
and it hinges not on my crime ridden past
it matters not about that which i've done before
i've found the entrance to Heaven's front door
people tell me this and I read something else in the Bible
they talk mostly about the sins for which I am liable
“'Repent” they say and do not hate
but that ain't the way through Heaven's gate
forget about all the heathenish things i've done
as in all the days and nights I've slept with a gun
or all the hearts i've promised to make my bride
so what if they were fabrications and I lied
I don't even have to knock to get in
I don't have to explain about every indiscretion and sin
people don't get it but every glorious day can be a fun day
as long as you dress up all fancy and tithe on Sunday
