About This Poem
The Perfect Woman
There's a woman who's always around
When you need a friend and one can't be found
When we were young and didn't feel well
She held us close and told us fairy tales
Homemade cookies and birthday cakes
Never revealing the trouble it often takes
Helped us through heartbreaks and loves bitter weather
Skinned knees and elbows, a kiss made them feel better
Told us through the years that we were able
To accomplish any task, kept our lives stable
They come in every size, shape and color
All over the world, the perfect woman is a loving mother
