About This Poem
The Addict
Honey, I'm an addict,
and you are my drug.
I've tried to quit this habit,
but I can't pull the plug.
Every time I walk away,
and try to leave you behind.
I'm unable to defray,
the cost of your love I find.
Darling, your sugar is so sweet,
so pure and so refined.
In a class so elite,
I'm hopelessly entwined.
Thus I'm standing at your door.
I've tasted your loving, I need
some more.
