About This Poem
In a Hotel Room
Sitting alone in room two-sixty-nine
With a king sized bed, it will do just fine
Shivering, I pull my robe a little tighter
Glance at the clock for the millionth time
Had a nice long soak in the Jacuzzi tub
The steam filled the room with thoughts of love
Slipped into something real sexy-sweet
In raspberry satin… a tasty treat
The music is playing, all soft and low
The candles are burning a scented glow
The transformation was well worth a try
This hotel room is now a paradise
The warm oil waits on the bedside table
For this gal is more than willing and able
Champagne on ice is waiting for two
To drink a toast to what we’re about to do
The knock on the door makes my heart skip a beat
He really is here, no time for cold feet
A man who deserves to be treated so fine
This truly wonderful husband of mine
2/7/2013 ~ For Black Eyed Susan’s contest “In a Hotel Room”
I wanted to take your mind one direction and have a surprise ending...
