About This Poem

Respect

I hope I didn’t lose respect From any person who did read Of my hopeless nightmare impact A horrible day shown indeed Please understand I didn’t mean Terrible life implications It may show that I am unseen Worthless being indications But I tried to do what was right I lose, no matter how I look But please do not hate me tonight For I did suffer as I hurt She did do this to me that day I don’t lie just for attention It happened just as I did say The nightmare keeps its retention I hope I didn’t lose respect For telling my day of terror I’m not weak though as you inspect It seems I am just in horror Maybe telling my day of fright Just wasn’t the best thing to do Sat in tears when I wrote that night Telling of my nightmare to you I hope I didn’t lose respect From all you precious friends out there I meant well, tried not to infect Wanted you to see I do care

Dear Russell, How could you lose respect when you opened Your heart to friends they love you? For me, you have gained respect and, as you know, you were one of the reasons I wrote my poem “LET ME”. Beautiful writing! Thank you!

I could never lose respect for a writer who wears his heart on his sleeve I enjoy everything you write, the good the bad the ugly the sad the happy and yes even the nightmares, I want to hear them all, sending you a big hug, cause you need it, xxx

no, you did not lose my respect. The people who lose my respect are the quiet ones who never say a word and then one day go off the deep end and I never even saw it coming!! We have to let things out. That is one of the things I like about writing.

Talking to each other is what soup is about. and when you make soup the more stuff you put in it the better it is...I certainly hope I don't feel it necessary to be sorry I wrote about a bad day. Lol...
