Movin' Out West

I want to move out west
I have this yearning in my chest
I don’t want to be like the rest
Staying in this town
Because it’s bringing me down

It’s just the place I want to be
Out of my element, completely
I won’t know names or any faces
I’ll have to learn all new places
I wanna move out west

I want to feel the Portland sun
Breathe new air into my lungs
Travel down to California
So I guess I better warn ya
I’m gonna move out west

I want to drive from coast to coast
Maybe stop for coffee and some toast
I’m gonna fill up my tank
Empty out my bank
And head out west

I want to feel the Portland sun
Breathe new fresh air into my lungs
Maybe travel down to California
So I guess I better warn ‘ya,
I’m gonna move out west

I’m gonna make a brand new start
Explore new music and new art
Forget my worries and my cares
No one will know my past out there
I think I’m movin’ out west

It’s a long road to travel on
But lord knows my hearts already gone
I’m leaving nothing behind
I’ve got no reason or no rhyme
Not to move out west
