About This Poem
Sparkles Like Diamonds
Shall I tell you a story of sweet victory?
How even the blind one could suddenly see!
There's little old me with a case of the blues.
Then I dug out my red dress,the sadness to lose.
Now I'm painting up poverty,making it shine.
Having some glasses of dandlelion wine.
There's a big shaft of light that I'm gazing through.
If you care to come with me then you'll see it too.
A gold-dusted staircase that winds to the sun.
It sparkles like diamonds when our day is done.
Sparkles like diamonds on a silver edged tray;
the sun put to bed and the moon come to play!
