About This Poem

Forgotten Valentine

A heart that was once only mine She had me within her coal eyes I gave her my love all the time I never held a deep disguise Now days I’m lost in the shuffle A heart that was once only mine Not an ounce of love does bustle Between the two of us in line She has forgotten me, the signs Are shown by the lack of our talk A heart that was once only mine I don’t see her now days, she walked She left long ago, hurting me Now a forgotten valentine I see just what’s left, memories A heart that was once only mine
