About This Poem
Evidence
Will there be a day when my words disappear?
Deep in my mind that is my greatest fear
Words that I write give me distraction
Opening new worlds is their attraction
I breath in thoughts, exhale them to the page
Rewarded with poem, my gift and my wage
How would life be without this special gift?
What would I do for my spirit to lift?
Sometimes I wonder, if these words are mine
Happy with connection to the Devine
So while I have them, happy will I be
Greater perspective, gift that sets me free
Daily prayer, words upon a lonely stage
Expressed in pictures, words written on a page
If they are read, they will not dissapear
They will be evidence, that I was here
